YOUTH MINISTRY

All students in grades 6 through 12 are included in St. Peter’s Youth Ministry. In addition to Sunday morning Christian Education classes (see Youth Christian Education page) we meet most Sunday nights at the Youth House, 405 Sherman Street. Our ministry includes fellowship, worship, study, sharing meals together, and outreach.

SUNDAY EVENINGS at 5:00-7:00 p.m. – Youth House

Fellowship: Typically one Sunday a month we have a fun social activity planned. This year we have lots of parties, trips, and other exciting events already on the calendar.

Worship: During our Sunday night meetings the Youth plan and officiate a worship service.

Study: Students in grades 6 through 8 are using the Episcopal Curriculum for Youth which challenges them to test their values in the context of their Christian faith. It equips them to make smart choices about tough issues. Students in grades 9 through 12 are using the Serendipity Curriculum as a basis for building Christian community.

Sharing Meals: Sunday evenings at the Youth House will begin with a meal, contributed by the parents, for all youth.

Outreach: St. Peter’s Youth has adopted the kids at the Samaritan Inn! One Sunday a month we will be working with the kids at the Samaritan Inn. Another Sunday a month we will be working on our Outreach plans for the visitation Sunday.

These are only a few of our plans. Check out our calendar for other exciting activities and information regarding mission trips, retreats, fundraising events, a ski trip for Senior High students and lots of other cool stuff.

So come join us!!!! All are welcome. We have new Youth joining all the time.
