July 30 - Everyday Angels

July 30 - Everyday Angels
The theme song for our mission trips this year was "Everyday Angel" by Radney Foster. In his song, Foster describes everyday angels as "the kind without wings. Walking around in the world, just like you and me. Angels, living out love, living out love." The junior high mission team were everyday angels living out love right here in McKinney. They served at Shiloh Place, Community Food Pantry of McKinney, Holy Family Schoool, the Summer Food Program and St. Peter's. The senior high mission team were everyday angels living out love in San Antonio. They served children at SERNA at the Church of Reconciliation and they served at the San Antonio Food Bank, Urban Garden, and Haven for Hope Kitchen. They also served at Saddle Light Center, an equestrian therapy center. A special thank you to the everyday angels who were our adult leaders on the trips: Emily Burlbaw, Tammy Chase, Jeff Kowaleski, Tad Murley, Tammy Snively, and Tucker Thompson. Thank you to all of St. Peter's for your support and prayers for our youth and their mission work. Blessings, Mtr. Kathy Audio: July 30 - Everyday Angels Readings (8th Sunday after Pentecost)
